HOW VTUBE-LASER CALCULATES GD&T TRUE POSITION
VTube-LASER actually shows the "spherical radius true position" values in more than one place in the Inspection Data. |
Tangent Point Deviations: Spherical Radius True Position
The TANGENT POINT and MIDPOINT deviations along the centerline are the equivalent of spherical radius true position values. The deviations shown in the Tangent grid in the Inspection Data menu show these deviation values (Tangent-Midpoint-Tangent along each straight).
The master centerline includes tangent points and midpoints along the centerline.
The aligned tangents and midpoints can be compared to the master points.
The deviation from master tangents and midpoints is a true 3D distance - which means that they are spherical radius true position deviations. |
Intersection Point 3D Deviations: Spherical Radius True Position
The 3D deviations for the XYZ centerline end and intersection points are also the equivalent of spherical radius true position values. The 3D deviations shown in the XYZ grid in the Inspection Data menu show these deviation values. |
