* The wire coming out of B3 indicates if the bender is ON or OFF. Pin B3 outputs between 5 and 10 volts DC when the bender is ON. If the bender control is switched on, then the DSR signal at the Benderlink computer's COM port will also show active. The state of the incoming DSR signal can be tested with an RS-232 testing program, like WCom32.exe (You can [http://www.advancedtubular.com/customers/benderlink/WCOM32.zip download WCom32] from our web site.)

Notes

  • The wire colors can vary from the diagram shown above. It is only important that the wires are connected to the correct points.

  • The A row in the Amp Mod U block (the black rectangular connector) is always on the KEY side of the connector.

  • Pin 1 is indicated with an arrow embedded in the plastic of the Amp Mod U block.

  • A wire from A1 to pin 6 is not required for this bender. Some cables will not include that wire.

  • The wire coming out of B3 indicates if the bender is ON or OFF. Pin B3 outputs between 5 and 10 volts DC when the bender is ON. If the bender control is switched on, then the DSR signal at the Benderlink computer's COM port will also show active. The state of the incoming DSR signal can be tested with an RS-232 testing program, like WCom32.exe (You can download WCom32 from our web site.)
