Cabinet
The CNC Bender operator station exterior is a built up of Rittal components. The top section is fitted with an all-aluminum heat-sink that effectively cools the cabinet. The operator station is mounted on a swival base that can be locked into position.
Internal Computer
On older models, the Rittal enclosure contains the Advantech PC Panel. As of March, 2008, the Technology Alliance has switched to the ProFace PC Panel, which uses Windows XP and has extremely superior performance to the older Advantech.
Wireless (WiFi)
All CNC Bender ProControl versions of CNC Bender come standard with WiFi connection.
Speakers for Speech Messages
Our operator station is the only bender control in the industry that actually indicates modes using verbal feedback. Our controls also give speech messages during certain conditions or events on the bender.
For example, if an operator steps on the safety mat, the control announces that "All Axes Disabled." This allows everyone to know, without looking at the operator station display, that the bender is in its safe mode.
Click here to hear the "All Axes Enabled" speech message. This message is played when the bender axes are enabled and ready to move.
Click here to hear the "Warning - Range Error Encounter" speech message. This message is played when the bender is instructed to move beyond any of its current safety limits.
The messages are designed using standard WAV files so that they can easily be changed to ANY LANGUAGE.
Operator Buttons and Keyboard
The buttons on the CNC Bender operator station are:
- Master Power On (illuminates green)
- Emergency Stop (red push button)
- Cycle Start (illuminates green)
- Cycle Hold (illuminates amber)
- Chuck Close (illuminates amber when chuck is closed)
- Release (illuminates green when RELEASE is requested by the bender)
- Home (illuminates flashing green when bender is homing, and solid green when bender is homed.)
The keyboard is standard for CNC Bender ProControl.
