===[[image:Check.jpg|25px]] Windows System-Up Timer Handler Upgrade===
+

+
The timers in CNC Processor references the Windows system-up timer, which is a continuous millisecond counter.  Previous versions of CNC Processor would generate an error after Windows had been running continuously for 24 days 20 minutes.  This problem is not related to how long CNC Bender had been running, but rather, how long Windows had been running since the last reboot.
+

+
This has been repaired so that the CNC Processor will handle the Windows system-up timer value '''for any length of days'''.

===[[image:Check.jpg|25px]] Handling Axis Motion in the NEGATIVE Region===
+

+
It is possible for axes to settle slightly in the negative region when returning to the home position.  In this condition, when sending another ABSOLUTE command for that axis to move to home again, the axis would drive in the wrong direction.  For example, the bend arm would attempt to move to the absolute position of zero degrees by rotating through the bender.
+

+
As of this version, CNC Processor has been updated to examine for this condition on every axis and '''automatically reverse its direction''' if it finds that the axis is in the negative region.

CHANGES to CNC BENDER

Check.jpg Automatic Cross Check for Module Configuration Files

CNC Bender cannot operate properly if the module configuration files are setup improperly. CNC Bender now performs a module configuration cross check diagnostic every time it starts.

If the configuration files are not perfectly matched, then you will see this warning:

Cncbender moduleconfigfileswarning.jpg

Check.jpg Update to File Load User Window

The File Load menu User Interface adjusted slightly in order to be more consistent with other CNC Bender menus.

CHANGES to CNC PROCESSOR

CNC Processor is the program that directly controls the bender actuators.

Check.jpg Disallow Jog Queuing When in Cycle Hold Mode

CNC Bender no longer allows an operator to jog any axis or actuator if the Cycle Hold button is pressed. This mode is slightly different than Safe Mode Cycle Hold, where the safety scanner area is entered. When the safety scanner or mat is activated, the machine changes to a near Zero Energy State state.

Cycle Hold without stepping on the mat or safety scanner acts as a pause button without changing the bender into safe mode.

Warning.jpg

Gear warning.jpg SAFETY NOTE

Do not work in a bending machine when it is in regular Cycle Hold mode!

In regular Cycle Hold, the bender pauses, but all axes stay energized.

If the machine is power on and not in Safe Mode Cycle Hold, then it is critical to keep hands out of the working area of the machine. Always press the E-stop before working on the machine.

Check.jpg Reduced CPU Usage When Idle

Cncbender cpuusage.jpg

CNC Processor required expanded CPU usage when the bender was powered down or in manual mode. This had an effect of slowing the CNC Bender user interface.

Starting with this version, CNC Processor automatically reduces the load on the CPU when in either of these modes.

How to UPGRADE

CNC Bender User Interface for ProControl

If your operator station contains one of the versions listed below, then they can be upgraded through simple self-installation:

See our CNC Bender Upgrade Policy page for details regarding the charges for the upgrade software.
