The default file data storage for benders was always one bender folder. Now Benderlink allows you to configure a unique bender data folder for each bender.  This is a major enhancement that will help manage files from multiple benders.<br><br>

Check.jpg ENHANCED - Installation For All Users

Previous installations required that the installer by logged into Windows as the user account that will use the computer with Benderlink.

This has been enhanced like shown on the right:

This follows the Microsoft suggested method of handling program data for Windows from Vista and newer (Examples: Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8)

  • The Benderlink installation program installs an initial set of common configuration files for all users. In Vista and Windows 7, these files are stored in c:\ProgramData\BenderlinkChiyodaKeins
  • When a new user (new Windows login) starts Benderlink, the common setup files are used to establish a unique set of starting configuration files assigned to that user's private c:\users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\BenderlinkChiyodaKeins folder.
  • The bender and measuring center files are stored in Documents\BenderlinkChiyodaKeins. If these folders and files do not exist when Benderlink starts, then Benderlink will copy common configuration files from the common folder into this folder to give the user a starting set of sample parts.
  • Benderlink will also automatically assign that Documents location as the default part storage path. (This path can be configured inside Benderlink to other paths.)

Check.jpg ENHANCED - File Data Storage, File Load, File Save, and File Utility Menus
