This is a technical description designed for system administrators and IT personnel.
Public Configuration Folder
VTube version 1.81.4 (VTube-LASER v1.81.4) and newer will install the configuration files in the PUBLIC folder space.
All unique users (logins) will have access to the same configuration files.
These are folder locations for the Windows versions:
- For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\
- For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: C:\Users\Public\VTube
Initial VTube Project Path Assigned
VTube uses the public document path for the project files. For example, the actual paths will be:
- For Windows XP, the folder is typically: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\VTue
- For Windows Vista, 7, and 8: C:\Users\Public\Documents\VTube
This path can be configured inside VTube to other paths if you want to store VTube parts on the network.
