VTube-STEP and VTube-LASER can import model files from NX.
NX file conversion tools support standard and neutral file exchange formats, including:
- Initial Graphics Exchange Specification (IGES)
- ISO 10303 - STEP AP203/AP214
The neutral format translators are included in most NX software packages, and can be simply invoked through File Import and File Export commands.
Both of these file formats can be imported into VTube-STEP and VTube-LASER.
How to Export to STEP or IGES in NX
- Launch Siemens NX (Unigraphics)
- Go to File → New and create a component
- Ensure that you are in Modeling application
- Go to File → Import / Export → IGES or STEP 214
- Name and save the file.
Other
