The Radius Shift Mode is the mode of how the radius shifts. The choices are BEFORE, AFTER, and DURING Feed motion.
BEFORE FEED
We know of no customers that use this mode, as it would most likely cause part/die collision. But we included it as an option just in case someone dreams of a reason to use it. Flexibility is our goal.
AFTER FEED
This prevents all radius shifting until after all FEED motion is complete. This is generally the safest and easiest way to shift. But it is slower than the "During Feed" mode.
DURING FEED
This allows radius shifting simultaneously with the FEED motion. This is the most complex of all radius shifting options. If you can use it, then it shaves time from the cycle.
