We're on the second floor of the Rankin Biomedical building just off I-75 in Holly, Michigan. This is a rural area surround by Michigan state parks. The westward view out the window is is very nice - especially in the fall.

At the Cone's house, we have a long IKEA table that wraps around two walls in what was historically called the "dining room." Now it's the "computer" room. Maybe we should call it the other "family room" since our family spends so much time here. We seat four people with four separate computers on this desk at the same time.

This is my main computer

I get a lot of questions about the notebook: It's an AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 dual-core Alienware MJ12 that is, of course, very fast compared to our other computers. Alienware is known for gaming. This one was adapted for business use.

By the way, if you're looking for a compact laptop, you should probably not consider this notebook. Alienware is careful to avoid the word "laptop" when referencing this computer. It is a BIG 17 inch wide notebook that feels like a space-heater with all those cooling fans. It will gladly burn and crush any lap simutaneously.

But I doubt many desktops can keep up with the mj12. Whether it runs or crashes Windows - it does it really fast.
