CHANGES to CNC BENDER
New USB Drive Backup Utility
This version of CNC Bender has a new USB Backup feature for quick and easy backup of part files.
- Select a USB drive with a browse dialog.
- Select Data Area for backup: Part, Tool, or Master Part
- Automatically backup to a new unique folder - named by date and time on the USB drive.
- Open Windows Explorer to the newly created path on the USB drive.
- Stop the USB drive for safe removal.
- Logs report the total number of files backed up.
- Dialogs report when the backup is complete - and at what time it was completed.
- A unique audio message plays when the backup is complete.
- Error conditions play a notification sound.
- CNC Bender stores the last USB path used.
Added a USB Backup Button to the File Menu
New CPU Usage Tester Built Into CNC Bender
CNC Bender operators can now monitor CPU Usage from within CNC Bender.
- This new dialog is a "stay on top" Window that can display the overall CPU Usage value (in percentage), or the CPU usage per process.
- The processes are sorted from top to bottom with the highest CPU user always on top of the list.
- The feature has load inducers in order to stress test a CNC Bender system by artificially increasing the CPU usage load.
- The dialog can be displayed in expanded or compressed mode using the Toggle Window button.
Repaired a Home Process Issue
CNC Bender now waits for CNC Processor to not be busy before issuing the Home Process command during initial startup. This resolves the "Switch to Manual Mode first" immediate message problem during startup.
New Module Points Logging Capability
CNC Bender can now create a module points log by enabling the Points Log button in the I/O Monitor Points dialog.
- Builds a new log in the logs folder.
- The log can be up to 1 megabyte in size.
- Examine the log for testing and diagnosis of the modules.
- Data stored includes binary state of points when logged.
New Sound Files Added for the USB Backup File Utility
Two new sound files were added to the system for the new USB Backup notifications.
CHANGES to COMDEF Editor
New - Compare COMDEFs In Two Systems To Determine if They Have the Same CIO Objects
The COMDEF Editor now allows for comparison of COMDEFs in two systems by more than the name. Now it can compare and report COMDEFs that have identical or differing internal setup.
- Two lists are diplayed: One list shows the identical COMDEFs. The other list shows the COMDEFs of the same name with differing CIO objects.
- Double-click on any COMDEF in the list to load it in the COMDEF Editor for change.
- Select from either system of COMDEFs when loading.
