IMPROVED: Best Fit - Automatic End Weight Version 2 - Tighter and Faster Alignments
We're always happy to give you a feature that does more - and does more FASTER than before. This is one of those features. The two alignments shown here are the results of the two versions of alignments in version 2.5 using the same master/measured data. When qualifications are on the edge of the tolerance, then this extra tight alignment can pay dividends. We optimized the code for better speed and logic, then added extra logic that gives more emphasis to increasing the number of TANGENT and MIDPOINT CELLS that are within tolerance. (Where version 1 only considered tangent point deviations, we've found benefit in considering MIDPOINT deviations in version 2.) All of this creates tighter and faster logic for alignment. Note: We understand that some customers are very careful when approving new part alignment algorithms - so we were careful to leave the original version Best Fit option in the VTube Inspection Results menu to give you time to learn to trust and use Best Fit version 2. |
