STEP 1

Start the NLM software on the server computer. (See Network License Manager for more information.)

STEP 2

Install the VTube-STEP software. Find the "vtube local settings.cfg" file on your computer:

In Windows 7 the file will be located in the c:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\VTube folder.

By default AppData is a hidden folder. You can use Control Panel / Folders command to change this to show all folders. The <UserName> is the login name being used to login to Windows.

In Windows XP, this file will be stored in C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\VTube

Step 3

Do not run VTube during the following steps:

Load the cfg file into an editor like Notepad or Wordpad. Find the [Hardware Key] section:

[Hardware Key]
NLM IP Address=127.0.0.1
Network Timeout=10
Send To NLM Port=17500
Receive From NLM Port=17501
Enable Network=0
License Type=Laser

Step 4

Change the address to the address of your server IP. (This entry is an example)

[Hardware Key]
NLM IP Address=192.168.0.100
Network Timeout=10
Send To NLM Port=17500
Receive From NLM Port=17501
Enable Network=0
License Type=Laser

Step 5

Change the Enable Network value to 1.

[Hardware Key]
NLM IP Address=192.168.0.100
Network Timeout=10
Send To NLM Port=17500
Receive From NLM Port=17501
Enable Network=1
