Back to VTube-LASERUse these steps to setup VTube-LASER for use with the Network License Manager software.

STEP 1
Start the NLM software on the server computer. (See Network License Manager for more information.)
STEP 2
Install the VTube-STEP software. Find the "vtube local settings.cfg" file on your computer:
In Windows 7 the file will be located in the c:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\VTube folder.
By default AppData is a hidden folder. You can use Control Panel / Folders command to change this to show all folders. The <UserName> is the login name being used to login to Windows.
In Windows XP, this file will be stored in
C:\Documents and Settings\<User Name>\Application Data\VTube
Step 3
Do not run VTube during the following steps:
Load the cfg file into an editor like Notepad or Wordpad. Find the [Hardware Key] section:
[Hardware Key] NLM IP Address=127.0.0.1 Network Timeout=10 Send To NLM Port=17500 Receive From NLM Port=17501 Enable Network=0 License Type=Laser
Step 4
Change the address to the address of your server IP. (This entry is an example)
[Hardware Key] NLM IP Address=192.168.0.100 Network Timeout=10 Send To NLM Port=17500 Receive From NLM Port=17501 Enable Network=0 License Type=Laser
Step 5
Change the Enable Network value to 1.

Step 6
Run VTube-STEP.
