As of November, 2007, we have switched our backup system to Acronis True Image Workstation. This software is reasonably priced and very powerful. It is designed to create true image of your system by creating the actual partitions on your hard drive.
- The per-license price is very reasonable compared to the competition.
- Backups are simple to implement.
- The backup speed is fast.
- The backup files can be highly compressed.
- The backup files are actual disk images and can be used to restore a Windows computer from "bare metal."
- With the Universal Restore option, it is possible to restore to a completely different computer and hard-drive than the one backed-up.
