CNC Bender Configuration File Restoration

If the CNC Bender system is shutdown immediately through power loss it is possible that the configuration file will be lost and needs to be rebuilt from a backup file.

"How Will I Know That the Configuration Needs to Be Restored?"

The clue that the configuration needs restoration is that your system experienced sudden power loss, then, after restarting the system, CNC Bender no longer appears to load CNC Processor. In this case, CNC Bender will not announce "CNC Bender System Initialized" as it normally does. The CNC Processor menu will show an empty log. And you will not be able to start the bender. If all of this occurs, then your configuration file probably needs to be restored.

Where is the Backup File?

CNC Bender was designed so that every part and tool file is a backup configuration file. So there are potentially hundreds of backup files on the operator systems disk.

Steps for Restoration

• 

  STEP 1 - Choose the SYSTEM menu.

• 

  STEP 2 - Press MAIN SYSTEM tab inside that menu.

• 

  STEP 3 - Press Low-Level Setup.

• 

  STEP 4 - Press System tab in the Low Level menu

• 

  STEP 5 - Press Restore CFG from Part

• 

  STEP 6 - Choose a recent part file to use as a new configuration file.

• 

  STEP 7 - Click on LOAD

• 

  STEP 8 - Exit Low Level

• 

  STEP 9 - Close CNC Bender

• 

  STEP 10 - Load CNC Bender

• 

  STEP 11 - Test bender
