This is a dynamic option in the Pre-Bend section that instructs the bender to:

  1. Remember its original HOME position as ZERO degrees during bending.
  1. Always go back to that position before the FEED axis moves to the LOAD position AFTER EVERY PART.

This feature is useful for permanent positioning of the rotation axis plane for non-cylindrical tubing.

PERSISTENT and PERMANENT ZERO

Since this absolute zero value for the rotation is based upon the index pulse of the rotation axis encoder, this location can always be found again at any time in the future, even if the bender is powered down.

THE MACHINE LOCATES THIS ZERO AGAIN IN THE HOME PROCESS

If this option is switched OFF during the day, then the ZERO degree location for the rotation is no longer absolute. To locate and retain the absolute ZERO degree location, it is only necessary to RE-HOME the machine. After the machine is homed, ENABLE this feature in PRE-BENDING for every part.

The sister command is the Absolute Pre-Rotate Angle, which allows you to specify and offset value when moving into the START position.
