Office Desk on September 10, 2007 We're on the second floor of the Rankin Biomedical building just off I-75 in Holly, Michigan. This is a rural area surround by Michigan state parks. The westward view out the window is is very nice - especially in the fall.

Home office Desk on November 3, 2007 At the Cone's house, we have a long IKEA table that wraps around two walls in what was historically called the "dining room." Now it's the "computer" room. Maybe we should call it the other "family room" since our family spends so much time here. We seat four people with four separate computers on this desk at the same time.

Main Computer I get a lot of questions about the notebook: It's an AMD dual-core Alienware MJ12 that is - yes you guessed it - very fast. Alienware is known for gaming. This one was adapted for business use. However, it is still the preferred gaming computer in the family. By the way, if you're looking for extremely portable, as in, slim and light - don't consider this notebook. This is not a "laptop" computer. The MJ-12 m7700a is basically a full blown desktop packed in to a laptop case. It features dual-core AMD Opteron and Athlon 64 FX-60 processors to handle any task you can throw at it. It has a PCI Express-powered NVIDIA Quadro graphics card for all the latest games. The MJ-12 m7700 will support dual SATA drives in RAID configurations. We are talking over 200GB of hard drive space in this bad boy. But that is not all, this laptop also supports dual optical drives so you can have a CD-RW/DVD and a DVD R/W in this baby. A 17 inch WideUXGA 1920x1200 or WideXGA+ 1440x900 LCD is available and front stereo speakers allow you to hear all the action. This laptop is definitely not for users who are looking for a light compact laptop. Its starting weight is 10lbs and increases as you load it up with all the features.
