New - Now Handles Bends 180 Degrees or Greater
Benderlink now automatically detects bends that have an angle of 180 degrees or more then performs a bisection into two smaller bend angles. This overcomes the problem of an intersection point at an unsolvable intersection by creating two intersection points with two bends where there was one.
This image shows the result of a bend being split into two adjacent bends. This part was drawn with a single large-angle bend in SolidWorks, then imported into Benderlink, and displayed in TubeCalc:
New - Automatic Combination of Two Adjacent Bends For Bender Data
Since Benderlink can now handle bend angles of 180 degree bends or greater, it is now also able to recombine adjacent bends from the centerline into single bends when exporting to bender files.
This is a sample data chart before combination:
This is a sample data chart after combination:
When saving data to a Supravision file, Benderlink will display this dialog if it finds any bends that can be combined:
If you choose to combine, then a report will be displayed after the combination is complete:
Repair - TAURING Data Includes Straight Distances
