CIO is an acronym that means "Command Input Output". A CIO object is the lowest level entity in the CNC Bender system. It is used to indicate the existence of individual inputs, outputs, and modbus commands, as well as their location. The acronym was created by Advanced Tubular for use in CNC Bender software.

Example

For example, some benders has pressure-die boost actuators. If this is the case, then a CIO may created to reflect the output that will send activate the valve that will send the boost in the positive direction. This CIO may be then given a name of "PDBoost_Output". This output may be defined as output module 1, and output point 5. The information is entered in a program called the CIO Editor, then saved to the main CIO dictionary file.
