CNC Bender Part Files
Contents |
Where Are They?
CNC Bender part files are found, by default, in the c:\cnc\parts folder.
How Are They Named?
The part name is the same as the filename without the filename extension. The filename extension is the ".cncpart" that is placed on the end of the part name.
Manual Backup or Transfer
You can copy the contents of this folder to make a backup or transfer the parts to another bender.
How Much Disk Space Do They Require?
Disk space required grows as the bend count grows. An empty part program requires 30K of disk space. Each bend adds 5000 bytes to the file size. The largest actual part file we have seen from our customers is 366,000 bytes with 68 bends.
Calculate the disk space required like this:
(Number of Bends X 5000) + 30000 = Total file size
Example: (10 bends X 5000) + 30000 = 80000 bytes
If your parts averaged 10 bends per part, then you can store 13400 parts for every 1 Gigabyte available.
