In previous versions of VTube-LASER, the scanning sound goes silent if no scan data is allowed past the scan filters VTube-LASER even though the scan button is pressed.

In this version, if the scanned data is removed by the filter, or no data is incoming because the scanner is out of range, then the LASER SCAN FILTER sound will play.

VTube-LASER operators know that previous versions of VTube-LASER require that you aim the LASER scanner at the part when you press the accept button at the end of a scan.

  • For the ROMER scanner, this is one of the two side buttons.
  • For the FARO scanner, this is the red button.


We have redesigned the scanning engine so it no longer requires this in-range scanning position.

As of this version, VTube-LASER will watch for and react to the accept button press even if no laser data is incoming.
